10 ways to support the mental health of your child.

In this era where everyone is busy being busy, we tend to forget to take care of mental health. Mental health awareness is the ability to understand and care for our well-being physically, emotionally, socially and so on.

According to psychology.com, mental health is a continuum that anyone can develop. mental strength is different from mental health and it is treatable.

As parents we need to understand the mental state of children and also help them support their mental health because children become mentally unstable due to a number of factors like bullying, abuse , siblings rivalry, depression and so on

Mental health is broader than just this post, based on my personal experience and now that I am a mum, I pay more attention to my  mental health and that of my child. Here are a few things we can do to support the mental health of our children.

1.Show them Love always

2.Never compare them with anyone else

3. Don't you ever subject them to any form of pressure.

4. Always support and encourage them.

5. Assist them solve their problems no matter how unimportant they may seem to you.

6. Take them out to exercise to keep them both physically and mentally fit.

7. Always make it an habit to understand their feeling.

8.Never make them feel small; as this makes them feel less confident of themselves.

9. Be proud of their achievement and always tell them how proud they make you feel.

10. Admit to them when you are at fault and make them know you ain't perfect.

How do you manage your kids mental health? let's have a discussion about this in the comments section.
